Acknowledgements – A Queensland Dental Group Initiative

Over the past many years, these events have been attended by thousands of oral health practitioners from around Australia, New Zealand and beyond. In 2020, twenty-one professors, specialists and elite members of the oral health field join us to provide exhilarating sessions across the upcoming events. What each of these elite members of the oral health professions present at these events reflects the many years and decades worth of efforts they have placed into their field of interest or specialty. Their presentations are purely a culmination and snapshot of the substantial input they have contributed to their field and we acknowledge each and every one of the presenters for their immense enthusiasm they have for their field of expertise. We thank our presenters past and present for their contributions to these events.

These events have been opened by State Ministers and Members of Parliament on fourteen occasions and have seen delegates from across Australia, New Zealand and beyond enjoy exceptional CPD.

In approaching the 50th event Milestone, Dental Update 2020, the Queensland Dental Group’s underlying philosophies remain strong, namely to seek leading experts from all disciplines to join us in fine surroundings and importantly without any sponsors. We thank past delegates for joining us at these events and to continue enjoying the experience of Dental CE the Way its meant to be.

Each event is unique and portrays the views of elite members from all realms of the oral health field to provide their specific update for all to benefit from. Their enthusiasm for their field of expertise is exceptional and shines in the many exhilarating presentation sessions at these events over the past many years.

In 2020, the Queensland Dental Group is due to reach its 50th event. Dental Update 2020 reaches the pinnacle of Dental CPD and will be the Queensland Dental Group’s 50th event. DU2020 follows in a long tradition of exceptional updates that have seen comprehensive updates across multiple disciplines from leaders across the oral health field.

We hold each and every event in the same spirit with the pursuit of clinical expertise and knowledge in mind. At the outset of each event, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land upon which we meet and pay our respects to their elders, past and present, as well as emerging.

The QDG CE team continuously strives to provide quality CPD with leading presenters in fine surroundings. There are many behinds the scenes support staff and team members that spend over a year planning each and every one of these events. Their continued dedication and passions for providing Dental CE the way its meant to be shines through at each and every one of the events. We acknowledge their tremendous efforts and look forward to the exceptional events in 2020.
